Overview
WeWeight shows your weight history, a seven-day moving average and weight goals you set yourself. Enter measurements manually or import body weight from Health. The basic features need neither an account nor a GitHub connection.
Screenshots
Real views of the app from a newly created iOS Simulator. All weights and goals are fictional demo data labelled «Sample», covering about two years. No personal health data, accounts or credentials were used.
Captured on 19 October 2026. Open an image to preview it in the same window and use the arrows to move between captures. The goals shown are not recommendations.
Detailed description
Measurements and trends
The history chart combines individual measurements with a seven-day moving average. Choose a time range or touch the chart to look at a measurement. The measurement list labels the source as «Health», «Manual» or, in the Simulator demonstration, «Sample». You can edit and delete manually entered values.
Self-chosen phases and goals
Plan phases for gaining («Bulk»), losing («Cut») or holding («Maintenance»). Set a target weight or a calculated rate of change. The app draws goal lines and a band of ±1 kg. This band is a visual aid, not a medical normal range. Phase plans can be imported and exported as CSV. An import replaces the existing phase plan.
Optional import from Health
WeWeight only requests read access to body weight when you choose «Import Weight from Health». The app writes no measurements to Health and needs no other Health data types. Imported measurements are also stored in local app storage. If Health returns no data or an error, the existing local copy stays unchanged. From the version after 1.1.1 you can delete this local copy with «Delete Imported Copies» after a confirmation. The data in Health is not affected. Without Health access, manual entry and goal planning remain available.
Optional export to GitHub
You can enter your own repository name, a token and the CSV file path. Individual upload actions send your phase plan or your weight history through the GitHub API. The weight history contains manually entered measurements and measurements imported from Health. From the version after 1.1.1, a confirmation before each upload states how many measurements come from Health and where they are sent. «Test Repository» also connects to GitHub. Use a private repository and check its access rights.
Privacy
Measurements, goals and settings are stored locally. The GitHub token is kept in the iOS Keychain. The app does not use a health-data server run by the developer. GitHub is only contacted by a repository test or an upload you start. The full policy explains exports, device backups, Health permissions and the limits of deletion.
Health and responsible use
Use the app at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided without warranty of accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, liability for damage from use or unavailability is excluded, in particular for data loss, lost profits and consequential damage. Mandatory legal rights and liability remain unaffected, in particular for intent or gross negligence and where liability for personal injury cannot be excluded.
Source code and GitHub
Repository: private. The source code is in the historically named repository «health-export» and is only accessible to authorised contributors. Without access, GitHub may show a 404 page. This source repository is independent of any repository you set up yourself for your data exports.
