ScreenSnipStudio is a native macOS application for precision screenshot markup, visual documentation, and professional presentations. The studio features a comprehensive set of vector instruments: bendable Bézier curves, multiline text callouts with adaptive directional pointer tails, auto-incrementing step counter badges, lossless pixelation masks for privacy redaction, optical zoom loupes, and studio backdrops.
Features & Capabilities
- Bézier Curves & Precision Arrows: Bendable quadratic Bézier curves with interactive apex handles, 7 customizable arrow tip styles (Stealth, Open Chevron, Circle Dot, Double-Ended), and dashed/dotted stroke styles.
- Smart Speech Bubbles & Callouts: Multiline text callouts with adaptive 360° pointer tails, automatic background contrast optimization, and adjustable corner radiuses.
- Privacy Redaction & Pixelation: Conceal sensitive passwords, API keys, and customer details directly using lossless pixelation and Gaussian blur masks.
- Optical Zoom Loupe: Inspect dense UI details and fine typography with an optical zoom magnification callout and a seamless visual bridge.
- Auto-Incrementing Step Counters: Numbered badges (1, 2, 3…) with optional pointer tails to document user workflows and step-by-step tutorials with single clicks.
- Studio Backdrops & Gradient Framing: Frame raw captures on curated Apple-style gradient canvases with custom padding, corner smoothing, and soft drop shadows.

Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ScreenSnipStudio (“the Application”) handles data and safeguards your privacy.
1. On-Device Processing & Privacy by Design
ScreenSnipStudio operates strictly on-device with zero telemetry. All screen captures, vector annotations, image exports, and OCR text extractions are processed locally on your Mac. At no point are screen buffers, personal information, or usage metrics transmitted to the developer or any third party.
2. System Permissions
- Screen Recording (NSScreenCaptureUsageDescription): Required by macOS to capture selected screen areas upon your explicit request. Screen data resides exclusively in transient device memory.
- File System Access: The application only accesses files and directories that you explicitly select via standard macOS open and save dialogs.
3. Third-Party Services & Accounts
The application requires no user account, serves no advertisements, and embeds no third-party tracking, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
4. License Activation (Direct-Download Edition)
If you buy ScreenSnipStudio from cblum.ch, the purchase is processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. To activate the license, the application sends your license key and your Mac’s computer name to the Lemon Squeezy license server once. When your Mac is online, the application re-checks the license key and activation ID at launch. The license key, activation ID and the e-mail address of the purchase are stored locally in the application’s preferences. Deactivating the license in Settings removes them and frees the activation. No screen content, images, annotations or usage data are transmitted. The Mac App Store edition does not contact Lemon Squeezy.
